makojessHi, my name is Jess and I am a Make-up Addict.
Well..more of a beauty addict. It is a recent addiction, maybe 2 years old. I have a accumulated a pretty decent make-up/beauty collection. On a good month I only spend $100 on goods, on a bad month it can be $200 or more. I get sucked in with free shipping or gift with purchase. I subscribe to a few different samplers - Birch Box, MyGlam and New Beauty Test Tube (QVC) I do have a great deal of samples. I love Lancome - whenever Macy's or Dillards has a gift with purchase I usually either buy one of the limited goodies or stock up on foundation/concealer. I also love those Sephora samplers. Trying new products really make my day. If something isn't in my color or I don't like the conventional use for it, I try to come up with something to make it useful. For example, my latest Birch Box has a full size lip color...in bright red. I am not the biggest fan of something that bright so I temper it down with using only a bit of it and another lipgloss to make it a different color.
I am always going to be a MUA but lately I have been trying to not buy as much. I have so much product - and the goods go bad. I don't really want to be throwing mon away - who does after all. So I am putting a "beauty ban" on myself. For 4 months (til the end of April) I am not buying or having the boyfriend buy me any products. I have enough foundation/concealer til that long and any other product I would need - including hair and skincare. I am keeping everything I use and will post pictures each month to see what I finish.
If you are a MUA - I challenge you do do a Beauty Ban, doesn't have to be as long, but I would love to see what others can use up.
(This doesn't include my monthly/quarterly boxes - they have already been fully paid for the year)
